Introduction to Interpreting for Marshallese Interpreters

Description

This 40-hour in-person training is designed specifically for fluent speakers of English and Marshallese who are interested in interpreting in healthcare, community and educational settings. The class will cover interpreter roles and protocols; techniques of consecutive interpreting; interpreter ethics and standards of practice. Practice and self-evaluation are a large part of the class. Participation in all 40 hours is required.
